הבריח יהודים מהגטו ליערות, אימן אותם ללחימה והוביל אותם לפעולות נגד הגרמנים.
לאחר המלחמה השלים את לימודי האמנות, לימד באקדמיה
לאמנות בלודז' בפולין, והקים את מחלקת האמנות בבית הספר ויצ"ו צרפת בישראל.
At the beginning of World War II, Alexander Bogen
joined the Partisans in Vilna. In July 1943, he escaped to Narocz Forest in
Belarus, where he led a unit of 30 Jewish partisans. He assisted other Jews in escaping
to the forest; trained them to fight and led them in actions against the Nazis.
After the war, he completed his Art studies at Lodz Academy
in Poland and founded the Art Department at the WIZO France School in Israel.
